Annamarie Hassall MBE
Chief Executive & Chair of Whole School SEND
Annamarie Hassall MBE is the Chief Executive of nasen with responsibility for strategic direction and operational delivery across the full breadth of nasen’s activity. She is the main point of contact for the board of trustees and has a close working relationship with the Department for Education (DfE). Annamarie also has overall responsibility for external relations and business development.

Alison Wilcox
Education Director
Alison leads our Education team and is part of nasen’s executive leadership team. Alison has overall responsibility for nasen’s educational objectives.

Amrit Singh
Finance and Commercial Director
As part of the Executive Leadership team, Amrit provides commercial and operational leadership for nasen ensuring its future sustainability and ability to continue meeting the sector’s needs. Amrit is responsible for Development & Operations, Finance, International Development and Sales & Marketing.

Zoe Mather
Education Officer
Zoe is an Education Officer at nasen and as part of the Education Team develops nasen resources and training. Zoe is on hand to provide valuable advice to our members.
Whole School SEND team

Alex Grady
Head of Whole of School SEND (interim)
Alex is interim Head of WSS and is responsible for the contract management and project delivery for our current DfE project 'Whole School SEND'.

Malcolm Reeve
National SEND Leader
Malcolm has worked in the field of SEND for 30 years and in that time has worked in adult provision, mainstream schools, and special schools. He has worked in with children throughout the age range and with learning difficulties ranging from moderate to profound. Malcolm has been a Headteacher of three schools and one federation. He is a National Leader of Education, a Member of the National SEND Forum, and Patron of the Centre Algarve holiday centre for people with special needs.

Simon Knight
National SEND Leader
Simon Knight is Joint Headteacher at Frank Wise school in Banbury, a school for children aged between 2 and 19 with severe or profound and multiple learning disabilities. He has sat on the DfE panels developing both the Professional Standards for Teaching Assistants and the Standard for Teachers’ Professional Development. He regularly writes and contributes comment and content for a range of publications and organisations.

Harriet Hannan
WSS Head of Programmes
Harriet is responsible for the contract management and project delivery for our current DfE project 'Whole School SEND'.

Natalie Reid
WSS Communications and Training Events Manager
Natalie is responsible for the day-to-day liaison with the regional teams as well as building the Community of Practice. Natalie also manages and promotes our regional CPD events for the current DfE funded project 'Whole School SEND'.

Annabel provides support to the Consortium and project delivery across the WSS contract.
Whole School SEND Review Trial team
Funded by the Endowment Foundation, WSS, in collaboration with Manchester Metropolitan University, is managing the trial to evaluate the impact of the WSS Review process on attainment and wellbeing of young people with SEND.

Margaret is joint Project Director for the EEF funded trial of the Whole School SEND Review in secondary mainstream schools.

Katherine Walsh

Katherine is joint Project Director for the EEF funded trial of the Whole School SEND Review in secondary mainstream schools.

Helen supports project delivery for the EEF trial, liaising with Project Directors, partners, stakeholders and participating schools.
