nasen is the National Association for Special Educational Needs – a charitable membership organisation that exists to support and champion those working with, and for, children and young people with SEND and learning differences.

nasen is a partner in the Whole School SEND consortium, a thriving community network that connects schools, settings, teachers and educators with leading specialists and organisations to empower a more connected, confident and effective workforce.

Our new modular CPD programme, linked to the nasen Recognised Teacher/Practitioner of SEND award, provides a comprehensive introduction to SEND and effective support for children and young people.

International Membership

We are constantly striving to work alongside international projects to strengthen the work we undertake with professionals and help support with research, training and resources. For our international colleagues, nasen membership is available for £50 a year.
